Omigod! A great historical find since they saw Mary in The last Supper by Davinci or when they found out Hang Tuah was chinese!: PROCASTINATION CAN POSSIBLY SAVE YOUR LIFE (if used properly, of course)!!!!
Here's proof : Scheherezade's life was spared because King Sharyar procastinated to execute her (okay, so people have discovered this before: call me captain obvious.). Because she procastinated to tell him the whole story every night when she told him bedtime stories (King Sharyar, your sucha baby: your wife spoils you =D well, it was all part of her plan, really.).
For those who aren't familiar with how The thousand and one nights came to be, allow me to explain -- King Sharyar, some Arabian royale who ruled centuries ago, well, his wife cheated on him, leaving him furious and heartbroken. Because of his Kingness, he ordered the courts to kill her, which they did. (walau, see the difference between now people and last time people? We 21st century people just divorce/break-up and then listen to Rihanna Take a Bow or Kelly Clarkson Since You've been Gone on our iPods, but that king just executed his wife! though it was illegal to cheat back then.) Traumatized, he ordered his wazir to bring him a pretty girl evrynight to him, then he'll marry them, sleep with them and execute them in the morning so they'll have no chance to be unfaithful to him! Talk about shag and die! Every maiden fled from the city, and the wazir knew that he would die soon if he could not bring the king a girl to marry everynight. One day, he couldn't find a girl! *panic music* he broke down and cried. His eldest daughter, Scheherezade (call her scheh. her name's so long!) offered to be the next girl for the king to marry( Never fear, Scheherezade is here!). the wazir could not bear for his lovely daughter to die in place of him, and begged her not to go. His daughter said she had a plan. Her father, ought of choices, reluctantly brought his daughter to the king. The king liked what he saw, and taht night took her as his wife. At night, Scheh offered to tell the king a story. The king couldn't care less. He thought she was gonna die anyway, so let her tell him the story. Scheherezade then told him an exiting story, but when the rooster crowed, she was not finished, and left it halfway. The king, eager to listen shooed the excutioner away. (PROCASTINATION!!! HAHAH!) This happened everynight. Scheh told the story halfway, and her life was spared day after day. after a thousand and one nights, she was pregnant! The king, already love-struck by his bride, comamnded the wazir to come to his palace. the wazir thought sceh was finally gonn' die. instead, no. He was going to have a grandson! (How come this King Sharyar person took 3 years to impregnate his wife? No wonder his first wife cheated on him!)
And that, my dear reader, is why procastination is alive and well-practised til' this day.
